The plastic grill on the radiator was horrible looking. I sandblasted it, and painted it with plastic primer and a high gloss silver paint. I took special pains with the radiator itself. This bike previously had a tendency to run a little hot. I flushed the radiator, and striped all of the paint off of it with aircraft stripper and a pressure washer. This exposed the copper and brass that it was made with. I sprayed it lightly with cleal lacquer to slow down surface oxidation. I also meticulously straightened any buggered fins. Operating temperature was never a problem after that.
